Hello, I’m Layla Hazlett. I’m so excited to be part of Rubys Rainbow’s Pledge Committee again this year! I discovered Ruby’s Rainbow 9 years ago while working at Pathfinder Village, a community for individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities in New York state.
Since that time, I received my master’s degree in occupational therapy and returned to Pathfinder Village as the Director and Clinical Coordinator of Adult Services. I truly have the best job in the world – I get to spend every day with people rockin an extra chromosome! My passion is helping to serve this amazing population and community to make sure everyone knows the worth of individuals with Down syndrome.
My husband, Morgan, and I have an amazing, almost 2-year-old son named Hudson and 3 fur babies, Bernie, Norman, and Rizzo. When I’m not at work, you can find me cooking, reading, or spending time with my family.
