Lydia Baracskai

Lydia Baracskai is beginning her freshman year at the Fashion Institute of Technology this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Connor McInnes Scholarship Award recipient, studying Fashion Design with an AAS expected in Spring 2028 and a BFA to follow in Spring 2030.

Getting into FIT is a huge accomplishment Lydia is proud of, and so is a milestone from her fencing career: she was the first person on her team to compete with all three weapons. Her goals for the future are clear: build independence and build a career in the fashion industry.

Lydia loves to dance, run by the water, exercise, read, and spend time with friends, always finding ways to stay active and creative.
