Maia Isabel Tenorio

Maia Isabel Tenorio is entering her third year at Saint Mary’s College of California this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Cassidy & The Power with Grace Scholarship Award recipient, studying Justice, Community, and Leadership with an emphasis in Leadership, and graduation expected in Spring 2028.

Maia is proud of earning two A’s this past spring semester, and even prouder of leading a seminar discussion class where classics like The Odyssey were read and unpacked together. She loved reading with assistive technology and connecting book themes back to her own life. This year, she’s taking on an even fuller course load, adding Italian, biology, and digital photography classes, on top of an acrylic painting class this summer.

Maia loves writing romance stories, singing karaoke, swimming, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Maia is a hard worker determined to earn her Bachelor’s degree in JCL, and she’s deeply grateful to Ruby’s Rainbow, its donors, and everyone who has supported her on this journey. Keep leading the way, Maia, excited for a fantastic third year!
