Kai Borton

Kai Borton is beginning his freshman year at the University of Missouri St. Louis’s SUCCEED program this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Sophia Whitney Scholarship Award recipient, studying Paleontology with graduation expected in Spring 2030.

Kai’s proudest swimming memory came from swimming the 500 meter event for his high school team seven times and hitting a personal best along the way. His career goal combines two of his passions perfectly: he wants to become a paleontological educator, working in a museum alongside young kids.

Kai loves to swim, sing, and study science, a combination that’s shaping up to be a perfect fit for his future in museum education.
