Keira Morthland

Keira is a proud two-time Rockin’ recipient! She is heading back to Regis University for her second year in the GLOBAL Inclusive Program, focusing her studies on self-advocacy, theatre and fitness. Keira has always loved singing and dancing—she was a cheerleader and on the dance team in high school and loved taking part in Regis’s production of Freaky Friday last year!

Moving 1,000 miles away from home to live in campus dorms was a huge step, but Keira completely rocked her freshman year. She made new friends, had new experiences and loved learning to live and be responsible for herself. Her incredible growth and independence are a huge inspiration to friends, family and others in her community. She handled every obstacle with a calm, easy-going, positive attitude. Living with Down syndrome, Keira is passionate about trying hard things and proving that anything is possible.

She is excited to jump back into college life, give hugs to all her Regis friends, (yes she’s a huge hugger!) and work toward her big goals: becoming a public speaker, sharing her story, and fulfilling her dream of acting on stage and screen –because ‘it’s kinda chic’ to set goals and chase them!
