Kia Davenport is heading into her third year at Same As U this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Ro Atchison Scholarship Award recipient.
Kia has already faced more than most, having survived brain surgery twice, and she wears her scars with pride, calling them her “tattoos.” That same strength carries into her goals: she’s working toward landing a job in the bakery at Walmart.
Outside of her studies, Kia loves bowling and dancing, activities that let her cut loose and have fun.
