Lane Brouillette

Lane Brouillette is heading into his sophomore year at LSU’s Integrative Community Studies program this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Cameron Hoffman Scholarship Award recipient, studying sports management with a dream of one day working permanently for the LSU Tigers baseball team. His motto says it all: “It’s always a great day for LSU baseball at The Box! Geaux Tigers!!!”

As the first male student with Down syndrome to attend LSU, Lane hopes to encourage others who dream of attending college too. This year, he won the title of Mr. Popularity in the 2025 LSU ZTA Big Man on Campus competition, and as a survivor of AML Leukemia, he was especially honored to take part in this fundraiser supporting breast cancer research.

Lane stays busy playing baseball for the Miracle League of Baton Rouge, attending St. John’s Catholic Church, and participating in the All Are Welcome Ministry, Young Life Capernaum, LSU Young Life, and LSU Best Buddies. He also volunteered at the St. Jude Walk with the DSAG Ambassadors and works at Stir Coffee House in Baton Rouge. A favorite LSU baseball player has become a good friend of Lane’s over the years, a connection he treasures.

Geaux Lane! We’re so proud to be part of your journey at LSU.
