Elizabeth Langas

Elizabeth Langas is beginning her freshman year in the OIS program at UCCS this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Ollie and Edie Reid Scholarship Award recipient, studying Musical Theater and Early Childhood Education with graduation expected in Spring 2030.

One of Elizabeth’s proudest moments was choreographing a number for the show Christmas This Year, performed with the Friends of Club 21 organization. She dreams of working in theater, whether on stage or behind the scenes, and would love to land a movie role someday like the young actress with Down syndrome who recently starred in a major franchise film. She also hopes to teach theater and dance to kids one day.

A self described karaoke star, Elizabeth loves dancing, performing, and watching movies and musicals. Her personal anthem is “This Is Me,” and it’s easy to see why: Elizabeth is passionate about standing up for anyone with special needs who has ever been made to feel less than.
