Jeffrey Perlmutter

Jeffrey Perlmutter is heading into his second year at Temple University’s Leadership & Career Studies program this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Fitzgerald Family Scholarship Award recipient, studying digital media and sports journalism with graduation expected in Spring 2029.

Jeffrey dreams big, and he’s already backing it up. He recently applied for early entry into the 2026 NBA Draft and was notified that he is indeed eligible for selection. Closer to campus, he’s an active member of OwlSports, Temple’s student journalism club, where he helped film coverage of the men’s volleyball club’s run to a championship tournament, a story that went on to win a media award. Whether or not the pro dream comes true, Jeffrey would love to contribute to a professional sports team in a media or other meaningful role.

Jeffrey loves playing video games, working out at the Y, listening to music, and playing basketball.
