John Henson

John Henson is beginning his freshman year at Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s Comprehensive Transition Program this August as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Clurman Family Scholarship recipient, studying Criminal Justice with graduation expected in Spring 2028.

Being on his school’s archery team is one of John’s proudest accomplishments, a hobby that pairs nicely with his love of writing songs, listening to music, and playing basketball. His goals for college are refreshingly direct: earn his degree, land a job, and get a place of his own.

John is honored and excited to receive a Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship, and he’s looking forward to meeting new friends and continuing to learn in an environment built to support his growth and independence.
