James Bowers

James Bowers is heading into his junior year at Clemson University’s ClemsonLIFE program this fall, supported by the Ruby’s Rainbow Frankenberger Family Fund, continuing his studies in the hospitality certification program with graduation expected in Spring 2028.

James recently completed and graduated from a five month advocacy class, and he’s been putting those skills to work ever since. He spoke and advocated for public transportation at a county council meeting and at a disability advocacy event on the steps of his state house, passionate about speaking up for himself and others with disabilities. His goals reflect that same drive toward independence: a job that lets him live on his own, and the ability to use public transportation independently.

James loves to cook, sing, dance, and hang out with his college peers, bringing energy wherever he goes.
