David Reed

David Reed is heading into his sophomore year at Georgia Tech’s EXCEL program this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Scholarship Award recipient, with an interest in either early childhood education or technology and graduation expected in Spring 2029.

David has plenty to be proud of already. He graduated high school with a regular diploma, right alongside his peers, and this past year he lived independently in the dorm at Georgia Tech, a milestone he’s especially proud of. Looking ahead, David wants to explore more internships on campus and is even considering running his own business someday.

Outside of class, David loves music, movies, hiking, and swimming, a well rounded mix that keeps him active and inspired.
