Kayla Kosmalski: Wilmington University

Kayla is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Rowan Eichler Scholarship Award. This fall, she begins her freshman year at Wilmington University, where she will be pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in communications. Her future plans include being an actress and a motivational speaker.

Kayla was recently crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA for 2024 and competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant in early August, which aired on the CW network. An experienced advocate for individuals with Down syndrome, she has helped pass multiple laws including the ABLE Act, which has been renamed Kayla’s Law in her home state of Delaware. She loves cheerleading and is proud to have made the Wilmington University cheer team—they are 10x national champions!
