Marlee Matto – Syracuse University InclusiveU (Clementine’s Sunshine Scholarship Award)

Marlee is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Clementine’s Sunshine Scholarship Award. She will be attending Syracuse University’s InclusiveU program this fall, where she is very excited to begin classes and hopes to participate in all aspects of college life. She loves working with makeup and skin care products and hopes to put this passion to work after college in a related career field.

Marlee made the high honor roll regularly throughout high school. She played on the Unified basketball and bowling teams, and also managed the freshman girls’ soccer team. She was a trailblazer in high school, fighting for inclusive education and helping her school shift toward including students with intellectual disabilities in general-education courses.

Marlee describes herself as smart, hardworking and independent. We see those qualities in you, Marlee! They will serve you well in college and beyond. We believe in you—you rock!
