Sophianna Bressette

Sophianna Bressette is heading into her second year at Saginaw Valley State University this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Scholarship Award recipient, with graduation expected in May 2027.

Sophianna worked incredibly hard this past year, earning straight A’s in all her classes. She’s also become a beloved presence across SVSU’s athletic teams, bringing her positive energy and school spirit to the basketball, football, tennis, volleyball, and dance teams, who all adore her. This year, she’s continuing to grow in her role as ball girl for the SVSU Women’s Basketball team while diving into a new passion: acting. She plans to take another acting class and audition for upcoming SVSU plays.

Sophianna is endlessly creative, designing shoes, writing poetry and music, painting acrylics, and now acting too. She’s also excited to focus on her fitness journey this year, working in the SVSU gym on weights and conditioning, yoga, and swimming. Outside of her artistic and athletic pursuits, she loves spending time with friends and family and playing video games.

Sophianna hopes to one day open her own business built around her many talents. Keep going, Sophianna, SVSU is lucky to have you!
