Hope Taylor

Hope Taylor is entering her third year at Longwood LIFE this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Scholarship Award recipient, now officially an art major with graduation expected in Spring 2028.

Hope landed her first job at the Hope Cafe in Richmond, Virginia, an accomplishment she’s deeply proud of, and she works as a caregiver in the university’s day care center, where she’s earned a reputation as a true “baby whisperer.” Her big dream is to one day have her own flower truck, selling the blooms she loves so much at market. Math is her favorite class, and she says “I love my new life,” meaning every bit of her college experience.

Hope fills her days with gardening, music, yoga, walks, movie nights, baking, and making special birthday artwork for the people she loves. She’s also picking up the ukulele, one more way to bring a little more music into her life.

Hope wears her Ruby’s Rainbow shirt with pride and tells everyone about her scholarship, proud to be part of something bigger than herself. Keep blooming, Hope! Onward to a wonderful third year.
