Hendrik Steenepoorte

Hendrik Steenepoorte is heading into his fourth year at Shepherds College’s Hospitality program this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Appelwat Family and Friends Scholarship recipient, with graduation expected in Spring 2027.

Hendrik recently graduated as part of the Class of 2026 with a Certificate of Completion in Culinary Arts, a proud milestone on his path toward a career using his culinary and hospitality skills. His next goal is to find the right supports so he can live in an apartment in town.

An enthusiastic Special Olympics and CrossFit AdaptX athlete, Hendrik also loves to sing and dance whenever he gets the chance.

Hendrik lives with enthusiasm and loves meeting new people, and it shows in everything he does. Congratulations on your certificate, Hendrik, cheers to a fantastic fourth year!
