Roan Purpura-Pontoniere: UC Davis – Redwood SEED Scholars

Roan is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Ayala Scholarship Award. This fall, he begins his freshman year in the Redwood SEED Scholars program at the University of California, Davis, where he plans to study nutrition and also video editing and production. His future goals include living independently and serving the disability community.
In his free time, Roan enjoys swimming, horseback riding and taiko drumming. He loved serving as groomsman at his brother’s wedding, along with his four other brothers, and is very excited to start school at UCD this fall.
