Maddie Ford: Coastal Carolina University – CoastalLIFE

Maddie is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Sailor Tracey Scholarship Award. This fall, she begins her freshman year in the CoastalLIFE program at Coastal Carolina University, where she plans to study early childhood education and participate in campus dance and theater productions. Her future plans post-graduation include working as an assistant preschool teacher, teaching Zumba at a local dance studio, and living in her own apartment.

Those who know her describe Maddie as a very hard worker. She loves fashion and has worked for two years as a brand ambassador for American Eagle. Her other favorite hobbies are swimming, musical theater and competitive dance. She performed in the cast of four musicals in high school, and won first place in her hip-hop solo, hip-hop group and musical productions. She also won a dance scholarship from KAR Dance Convention.
