Liliana Salinas: Austin Community College – STEPS

Liliana is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Hayes Chappell Scholarship Award. This fall, she begins her second year in the STEPS program at Austin Community College, where she is pursuing General Studies. In the future, she would like to work either in a hospital or at a Bitty and Beau’s coffee shop.

Lili loves swimming and taking online dance classes. She also really enjoys social activities with other young adults. Most of all, she loves going to college! College has been part of her life plan since she was in elementary school, and she is very proud to have finished her first year at ACC. She loves everything about it: the campus, her teachers, all her new classmate friends, and even the coursework. Her new levels of independence, maturity and responsibility have enabled her to keep up with her classes and boosted her confidence.
