James Lampley: Union University – EDGE

James is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Brett Boyer Foundation Scholarship Award. This fall, he begins his first year in the EDGE program at Union University, where he is looking forward to participating in student life. He is particularly excited about the Cooking Lab.

A lover of sports, James has participated in rec basketball and soccer as well as being a member of the track and cross-country teams in middle and high school. He is an experienced leader of prayer and reading scripture in worship services at his church.

Those who know him describe James as someone who works hard and plays hard. He has worked as a dishwasher for three years, along with working at his local pool and splash pad each summer. In his free time, he enjoys playing games, watching movies and spending time with friends.
