Hunter Rondina: Winthrop University – WinthropLIFE

Hunter is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Zeke Layer Scholarship Award. This fall, he begins his freshman year in the WinthropLIFE program at Winthrop University, where he is looking forward to studying public speaking, art and PE. He wants to become a basketball manager. His future plans also include living independently and finding fulfilling employment.

Hunter loves basketball, football and fishing. He completed a yearlong vocational rehabilitation program at Wingate University and worked at Starbucks. He now works at a hospital where he has completed three internships in maintenance management, dietary management, and assisting in the OR.
