Chloe Buck: Hope College – Ready For Life Academy

Chloe is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Lincoln Downing Scholarship Award. This fall, she begins her freshman year at Hope College’s Ready For Life Academy, where she hopes to gain the personal and professional skills needed to become more independent both at home and at work.

Chloe loves traveling to warm destinations, watching YouTube, talking and texting with friends, swimming, and playing sports like flag football, track and basketball. She is proud of herself for earning her high school diploma and serving as Grand Marshal for her local Buddy Walk. She helped to promote last year’s Buddy Walk by doing TV interviews, meeting with the mayor and attending local baseball games. She also completed a 15-week program at GiGi U and now works one day a week at their Genesis Health Bar, greeting customers and helping prepare meals.
