Amanda Altemus – Clemson University ClemsonLIFE (Everly Alexis Scholarship Award)

Amanda is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Everly Alexis Scholarship Award. She loved her first year in the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University, and she is very excited to be a sophomore this year. Her favorite things at school are football and soccer games, hanging out with friends and living in a dorm with her roommates, and swimming with the Tiger Sharks.

Amanda believes other students with Down syndrome should go to college too, because they will love their classes and living on campus. She also has this advice for parents of students with Down syndrome: “You should let your kids go to college if they want to. They will be a rockstar!” We so agree, Amanda! You are definitely a rockstar!
