Jeremy Fraser – Life College at Stanbridge University (Lili Sugahara Scholarship Award)

Jeremy is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Lili Sugahara Scholarship Award. This fall, he begins his third year in the Life College program at Stanbridge University, where he is working on developing his independent living skills including cooking, kitchen safety, cleaning and doing laundry.

Jeremy is active in the Down syndrome community, both locally and beyond. He mentors a young friend who is also rockin’ that extra chromosome, and works with other younger students through the Down Syndrome Foundation. He also fundraises for Ruby’s Rainbow with his friend Audrey; together, they have raised enough in the past two years to have scholarships awarded in their names to other Rockin’ Recipients!

Jeremy’s advice for other students with Down syndrome who are considering college is, “It’s important to keep learning every day. Your future is bright, and you need to work hard and have goals and go after them. YOU CAN DO IT!” We think that’s great advice, Jeremy! You rock—we are so proud of you!
