Nolan Smith – University of Kansas (Team Reezel Scholarship Award)

Nolan is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Team Reezel Scholarship Award recipient. He will be attending the University of Kansas. In high school, Nolan was inducted into the National Honor Society, was active on the Student Council and was elected to the homecoming court his senior year. He was active in choir as well as swimming, Special Olympics and Unified Sports; he also lettered in baseball and was the team manager. For the past two summers, he applied and was accepted to be a volunteer camp counselor working with children with speech and language delays.

Nolan loves making movies, including videos for his “Strollin’ with Nolan” YouTube channel, in which he conducts interviews films “day in the life” segments for his fans. He dreams of moving to Hollywood to become a film actor, and would also like to have a career working with preschool children. We think you rock, Nolan! We are so proud of you!
