Mathew Strachan – Shepherds College (Jax and Niko Scholarship Award)

Mathew Strachan is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Jax and Niko Scholarship Award recipient. He attends Shepherds College, where he is active in Special Olympics basketball and bowling as well as Impact Fitness and choir. He loves watching football games, going to Dairy Queen and playing disc golf with friends. He is studying money management and independent living in college, with the goal of living in his own apartment someday.
This year, Mathew will have a horticulture field internship at Shepherds, and he hopes to work in landscaping, at a zoo or on a farm after graduation. We believe in you, Mathew — keep on rockin’ it at Shepherds!
