Jacob is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Janelle Kelly Scholarship Award. This fall he begins his freshman year in the Bear POWER program at Missouri State University, where he plans to study business. He has already begun writing up a business plan to run a food truck someday—most likely a hot dog truck. He is also interested in business communications and photography.
Jacob enjoys live concerts and festivals, nature hikes, writing song lyrics, hanging out with his dogs, and being around people. He is very proud to have served as the manager of the men’s tennis team in high school; one of his favorite activities was riding the bus to the team’s away games. He won a Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Inspirational Award in 2022.
