Nicole is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Rowan Eichler Scholarship Award recipient. She is excited to start her journey as an East Stroudsburg University Warrior this fall, where she will study independent living skills as part of the CILLS program. In high school, Nicole was inducted into the National Honor Society and was elected Prom Queen her senior year. She was a Girl Scout for 10 years and received the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a scout can earn. She was a member of her high school’s marching band all four years, earned her green belt in taekwondo, and is active in Special Olympics track, basketball and swimming.
Nicole volunteers with Nothing Down, an organization that connects people in the Down syndrome community with new parents of babies with a Trisomy-21 diagnosis. She says, “I am excited to be working with Nothing Down. I get to change the world.” She loves dancing, singing and songwriting. We think you rock, Nicole! We are so proud of you!
