BreAnna White – Georgia Highlands College
2020
BreAnna is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient who will enter her third year at Georgia Highlands College this fall, where she is working toward becoming the first person with Down syndrome to graduate from GHC with an Associate’s degree. To that end, she is taking English, Communications and acting classes and is working on her public speaking skills. In her free time, she enjoys having fun with friends and family, playing guitar, and going to WWE live matches.
Last year, BreAnna was nominated to take part in the Emerging Leaders program at Georgia Highlands. She says, “I love studying and working hard to get a good grade for the classes,” and acknowledges that she puts in hours of hard work each day to succeed in school. To other students with Down syndrome, she offers this advice: “Do not let anyone tell you that you cannot accomplish anything you set your mind to.” We recognize your hard work and are so proud of you, BreAnna! Keep on rockin’ it at GHC!
