Mary Borman is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient headed into her junior year at the University of Arkansas, where she loves being a part of the campus community. She has learned so much in her time there, and especially enjoyed her acting classes. She loves swimming for Special Olympics Arkansas and for the International Down Syndrome Swimming Organization Team USA. She also completed an internship with U.S. Representative Steve Womack.
Mary has a personal set of rules she lives by to reach success, and advises other students with Down syndrome not to let fear stop them from achieving their goals in life. She says, “College helps me be independent and responsible. You make your own rules. It makes me feel excited to go farther and farther to get a really good career.” You’re amazing, Mary — keep on rockin’ it at U of A!
