Rachel is one of Ruby’s Rainbow’s first three-time Rockin’ Recipients! She was awarded her first Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship in 2015 and her second in 2017. She attends the California Institute of the Arts, where she is working toward her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Media.
Rachel has shown her original photography in several exhibitions since she began as a freshman at CalArts. She founded the View Camera Club on campus, which had a May 2018 group exhibition and reception. She does her own black-and-white printing, and is also learning color film and digital printing. She is also taking an African Dance class, and she enjoys bartending for friends’ exhibitions and receptions.
Rachel also serves as a Rockin’ Ambassador for Ruby’s Rainbow, spreading the word about what our organization is all about.
