It’s time for another 2017 Rockin’ Recipient bio!!

This year we were able to give out a record 47 (!!!!) scholarships, thanks to the help, love, support and donations of peeps like YOU!! And Matthew Hessburg is an awesome example of this year’s Rockin’ Recipients

Matt’s actually a TWO-TIME Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship recipient, and this year he received one of two Maudie’s Scholarship Awards, to put toward his education at Western Carolina University! Matthew plans to open his own restaurant someday. He’s super excited about his paid internship at Haywood Smokehouse this semester, since he gets to learn more about what it takes to own and run a BBQ restaurant!
We can’t wait to be some of your first customers at your restaurant someday, Matt!! Keep on rockin’ it!!
