I am horrible with numbers. They make my brain literally hurt when thinking about them. But these numbers? The ones I am about to share? They make my heart so happy. You all have been cheering us on, which in turn means you are cheering on the Kirsta’s, Olivia’s and the Mikayla’s of the world. You are shouting that being different is beautiful, whether you possess that tiny little extra chromosome or not, and acceptance and kindness means something. That believing in someone’s capabilities, no matter what…means something.
And you guys…I say this all the time: We CAN make a difference. WE have come together over these last two weeks and not only reached our goal… but exceeded it. We raised an incredible $210,000!!!! TOGETHER!!! Whether it’s sharing or donating or tagging a friend or simply leaving an encouraging comment…our community came together and made this happen. I am blown away and so proud to be a part of something that is bigger than us. This is a movement, y’all. And a big ol’ movement in the right direction.
