Happy Fourth of July, peeps!!!! ???????????????? In honor of this day, I’m excited to share this video with you – Miss Marissa Moments episode #2, about the 4th of July, made by our very own Marissa Todd!! Marissa is a 2017 Rockin’ Recipient, and her sweet mama recently shared Marissa’s brand-new YouTube channel with us (check it out and FOLLOW ???????? – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6XKoYp6UtMdAjbUXq_qpDw )
Marissa just graduated from the SUCCEED Program at the University of Missouri – St. Louis!! Y’all, this lady’s always been ah-mazing (she was homecoming queen in high school, a cheerleader & active in 4H, and then in college she interviewed for & landed a paid position in food service on campus!!) — so her college success is no surprise ???????? BUT we’re still incredibly proud of her hard work and dedication!!!
Here’s what her sweet momma emailed to us:
“Thanks to Ruby’s Rainbow for helping Marissa Todd complete the SUCCEED program in St. Louis MO. May 2018. What a moment!
“[Since graduation] she hopes to be working at a daycare or childcare facility. However, coming home after school, I (her mother) was involved in a serious bicycle accident which required surgery on 3 of my appendages. Currently, Marissa is providing much of my home health care, and doing a great job. She will continue the job hunt when I can walk.
“In the meantime, with the help of a cousin who edits videos, a cousin who writes music, and a sister who does artwork, she is trying her hand at making some short teaching videos. Since she wants to teach we thought this might be a way to get her name out, so they produced their first two ‘Miss Marissa Moments’ videos. Check them out and subscribe to her channel. Maybe this will go somewhere!”
I sure hope her momma heals quickly – but I know having a smart & capable lady like Marissa around must be a HUGE help ❤️❤️
