Ella Mae’s Trip to the Lake!

Big sister got invited to go to the lake for a few days with a friend, and while most of my heart wants her here with us for World Down Syndrome Day to celebrate, the other part wants her to have her own fun and not feel like Down syndrome consumes us. Because even though our family works hard to help people with Down syndrome, in our day to day life it is such a tiny part of our reality. I never want Ella to resent that tiny little extra chromosome, only see it for the magic it brings into this world. So have fun Ella Mae! You deserve all of it and more❤️❤️
