Ella Mae and the Importance of Kindness!!

I can’t even with that face. I have to brag on my girl for a minute here. I will spare you the deets of our dinner out at Chili’s Grill & Bar last night, but we were tired and hungry and hoping for a quick, easy bite and it was quite the opposite. The waiter was new and after a series of mishaps he just sent the manager over for damage control
????For the record, we had not planned on asking for her. I waited tables for over 15 years and I get it, but to our surprise she ended up comping the entire meal!
We still wanted to leave him a tip (obvi) so we charged it. As we are leaving, Ella Mae asks if we have any cash so we gave her $1. I thought she wanted it for the gumball machine, but she went up to the waiter and said “this is from my parents and this (the $1) is from me. I want you to know that you did a good job even though you are new and I hope you keep it up.” 
????Then she gave him a hug. OH MY MAMAS HEART, you guys. Kindness is the THE MOST important thing I hope to teach my kids, above anything. She shows me every day that she is listening. That her heart is bursting with love for others. When we got in the car she said, “that felt really good mommy.”
