2018 Rockin’ Recipient Adam DeBacker Heads into Final Semester at OTCC!!

Can’t believe Adam DeBacker’s already heading into his final semester at Ozarks Technical Community College!! ???????? He is one of our ah-mazing 2018 Rockin’ Recipients, and these pics of him at The Landers Theater (Springfield Little Theatre) in Springfield, MO, from a few months ago, just beam out his passion for the theatre. He was followspot operator for the season opening production of “Newsies,” and isn’t it awesome to see his joy & passion in action?? ????❤️
His sweet mama sent me an email: “Adam hit the ground running this week as his last semester started, and I cannot tell you how joyful I feel to see him take independent ownership of his organizing, planning, and studying. He is on track to graduate this spring Cum Laude with his Associate’s degree and told me this morning that he ‘wants to try to get all A’s this semester.’ (Secretly, I think a 15-hour courseload may make that a challenge.)”
She said he’ll be using his theatre resume in applying to the BFA Technical Theatre program at Missouri State University, where he’s already been admitted to begin as a junior transfer student in the fall.
Can I just say that is AWESOME-SAUCE and AH-MAZINGGGG?!?!?! Adam, YOU ROCK!!! We are SO PROUD OF YOU and in awe of all you are accomplishing – keep up the great work and focus as you head toward graduation and your next phase!!! ????????????????
One final note – Adam’s dad is an ecologist for the National Park Service, so he’s on furlough at the moment…so please send the DeBacker family good thoughts during this time that’s been so tough on so many families!! ❤️❤️ Our thoughts are definitely with the DeBackers!!!
