Happy Monday, peeps!! I just love hearing from our past Rockin’ Recipients, don’t you?? Here’s an email from Scott Conklin to start your week off right ????????
“I was a recipient of a Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship in 2015. I am 42 years old and just finishing my third year in the Beyond Academics program at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. It is so exciting. I have been living in an apartment with a roommate. I just love having ‘my own place.’ I have attached a picture of me standing in the door to my room. Next year I will graduate. After graduation I hope to have a job in Greensboro so I can continue to live on my own. I am learning to use the bus so I can get around.”
That’s awesome, Scott!! Congrats on having your own place and approaching graduation!! Love the pic of you in your apartment – we can’t wait to see one of you next year in that cap & gown!!!
