Walker Powell

Walker Powell is beginning his freshman year in the Inclusive Futures Program at UNC Wilmington this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Scholarship Award recipient, studying Business Skills and Communications with graduation expected in Spring 2029.

Walker earned his Eagle Scout rank, one of scouting’s most demanding achievements, and he’s bringing that same drive into his big entrepreneurial dream: starting and operating his own birdhouse making business, called Roost!

Walker loves playing sports, especially basketball, track, and swimming, and he’s always ready to rock out to music.

Walker and his family are incredibly grateful for the educators who helped him get to this point, and he’s beyond excited for this new college adventure. Welcome to UNCW, Walker, buckle up for building something amazing!
