Charlotte Kinney

Charlotte Kinney is beginning her first semester at Austin Community College’s STEPS Program this fall as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Scholarship Award recipient, with graduation expected in Spring 2028.

Charlotte has a goal close to her heart: she wants to become a teaching assistant for other people with Down syndrome, paying forward the support that’s helped her get this far. She’s thrilled to have graduated high school, and these days you’ll often find her curled up with a Harry Potter book.

When she’s not reading, Charlotte loves to sing and dance, and she’s been having a blast in her kickboxing class.
