Samantha Hilborn: On My Own — Independence College (TEKsystems Scholarship Award)

Samantha is starting her first year at On My Own – Independence College, where she’ll be building the skills she needs to live independently and pursue her dream job at PetSmart. She’s also passionate about music and theater, and one day hopes to turn her love of performing into a career.

A proud Special Olympics athlete, Samantha has earned two gold medals for swimming at the State Games. She’s also been part of a local theater group, worked at a coffee shop through a summer work program, and even made it through the first round of auditions for America’s Got Talent!

Known for her positivity, Samantha is a strong self-advocate who uplifts her friends and family at every opportunity. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish at On My Own and beyond!
