Raechel Benson: Washington State University — ROAR (The Hudson and Rachel Heinz Scholarship Award)

Raechel is starting her freshman year at Washington State University in the ROAR program, where she plans to study acting and social media communication. Her goals include getting a job she loves, living independently, and welcoming a pet bunny named Mimi into her future home.

She is a creative spirit who enjoys fashion design, drawing, and singing. Raechel is especially proud of singing the National Anthem at the Challenger Jamboree, and she’s no stranger to the spotlight, having performed in numerous amateur theater productions.

Throughout her school years, Raechel has earned recognition for her kindness, leadership, and talent, including the Seymour Kaplan Humanitarian Award, the Principal’s Award, and participation in the Miss Teen Washington Pageant. Social and full of energy, she loves making new friends and is always ready to give her best.
