Kyle Branscom: UNC Wilmington — Inclusive Futures Program (Dee Bachus Scholarship Award)
2025

Kyle is this year’s Dee Bachus Scholarship winner and will be starting his freshman year at UNC Wilmington in the Inclusive Futures Program, where he plans to study Sports Management. His future goals include moving out to live with a friend and working with a sports team in Charlotte once he completes his program.
Kyle is no stranger to hard work and achievement. He was one of only five seniors to receive the Principal’s Award in his graduating class of more than 800 students. This summer, he is working as an assistant swim coach for his neighborhood swim team, cheering kids on at meets, and also working as a VIP suite runner at Charlotte FC soccer games and concerts at Bank of America Stadium.
A true sports enthusiast, Kyle enjoys football, basketball, swimming, bowling, and playing on his PS5. He also loves going out to eat and spending time with friends and family. Kyle is especially excited to be on the same campus as his big sister, who is a rising sophomore at UNC Wilmington.
We are so excited to cheer Kyle on as he kicks off his college journey and works toward his dream career in sports management.
