Jane Standal: Calvin University — Life and Career Studies (Arehart Family Scholarship Award)

Jane is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient entering her junior year at Calvin University’s Life and Career Studies program, where she is focusing on Early Childhood Education. This year, she will be interning at the Down Syndrome Association of Western Michigan, working with both children and parents as she prepares for her goal of a full-time career in an early childhood center. 

Jane is proud of her dedication and work ethic and this summer marks her sixth anniversary at her first job at Culver’s, where she applied on her own at age 16 during Covid and has been working ever since. She’s also an avid sports fan and never misses a Detroit Tigers game, whether on TV, radio, or in person. Beyond sports, she loves to travel and spend time at the beach. 

Grateful to be part of the Ruby’s Rainbow family, Jane says she is living the life she has dreamed about. With her determination, heart for kids, and love of learning, we can’t wait to see her continue rocking her college journey!
