Jacob Skaggs: Missouri State University — Bear POWER (Bachus Family Scholarship Award)

Jacob is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient, now in his senior year at Missouri State University’s Bear POWER program where he is majoring in General Business. Since starting in August 2023, he has taken classes that challenge him academically, including Public Speaking to help him prepare for future jobs, and he is proud of his dedication to school. 

During his internship, Jacob has gained valuable experience in community engagement, learning about teamwork, organization, and handling shipments. He hopes to continue working on campus after graduation in a business-related role. 

Outside of academics, Jacob loves getting involved in clubs and activities, volunteering at the campus pantry, spending time with friends, and making sure no one eats alone. He’s passionate about checking in on others, bringing people together, and living out his belief in community. Missouri State has become a home to Jacob, and he is excited to carry everything he’s learned into his career and beyond.
