Hunter Rondina: Winthrop University — WinthropLIFE (Luke Maloney Scholarship Award)

Hunter Rondina is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Luke Maloney Scholarship Award! Hunter is thriving at Winthrop University in the WinthropLIFE program, where he’s learning valuable life skills and continuing to grow his independence. He’s proud to be part of the basketball team and hopes to one day become a basketball manager. He also enjoys public speaking, art, PE, and is passionate about one day living on his own and finding a fulfilling job.

Before starting at Winthrop, Hunter completed a yearlong vocational rehab program at Wingate University and gained real-world experience working at Starbucks and interning at a hospital in maintenance management, dietary services, and the operating room. Now, he’s building on those experiences as he continues to work and learn.

Off the court and outside of class, Hunter loves going to church twice a week, fishing, and hanging out with friends. He says one of the best parts of college is all the new friends he’s made!
