Dan Doran: Clemson University — ClemsonLIFE (Stella Kenneally Scholarship Award)

Dan Doran is a four-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of a Ruby’s Rainbow Stella Kenneally Scholarship Award and is entering his senior year in the ClemsonLIFE Advanced Program at Clemson University. The program focuses on building skills for independent living and employment, and Dan has thrived in both areas during his time at Clemson.

Last year, Dan was proud to be accepted into the Advanced Program and made the most of it. He worked a paid job at the Clemson University Cooper Library, where he served as a security assistant and helped visitors while keeping the space organized and welcoming. Dan also took an acting class on campus that he loved, and he served as the manager for the Clemson Women’s Lacrosse team, who finished the season ranked 14th in the country. 

Dan’s hobbies include watching college football and basketball, cheering on the NFL and NBA, going out to eat, acting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. This year, he’s especially excited to be living off campus with three fellow ClemsonLIFE AP students and continuing to grow his independence.

Dan’s goals after college are to live independently with friends and find meaningful employment that he enjoys and can support him.
