Clinton Wrinkle: Barnabas Prep (Gretchen Heinz Scholarship Award)

Clinton Wrinkle is this year’s recipient of a Ruby’s Rainbow Gretchen Heinz Scholarship Award! Clinton is thrilled to begin his journey at Barnabas Prep, where he’ll focus on learning how to live independently and develop valuable job skills.

A proud Special Olympics athlete since sixth grade, Clinton enjoys competing in bowling, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Outside of sports, he loves what he calls his “singing duty” which means playing music loud, dancing to the beat, and sharing on his YouTube channel. Clinton is also a big fan of spending time with his best pet and sidekick, Ollie.

At Barnabas Prep, Clinton is looking forward to improving his math and reading skills, preparing to be a great employee and a good friend. One of his biggest goals is to live with a roommate and Ollie by his side. He dreams of working at Wal-Mart, where he can help people, meet new faces, and maybe grab some Subway or rotisserie chicken on his lunch break.

Clinton is proud to show others that he’s just like anyone else. He loves music, friends, and being part of a big, supportive community. Getting accepted to Barnabas Prep is a huge step, and he’s excited to go to college just like his other friends.
