Camdyn Frankenberg: University of Oklahoma — Sooner Works (Fitzgerald Family Scholarship Award)

Camdyn Frankenberg is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Fitzgerald Family Scholarship Award. This fall, she begins her sophomore year in the Sooner Works program at the University of Oklahoma, where she is studying education with the goal of earning her paraprofessional certification. Camdyn dreams of working in a special education classroom in a public elementary school.

Camdyn had a fantastic freshman year and is excited to return to campus this fall and live in an apartment. She made history at OU by becoming the first individual with Down syndrome to pledge a sorority, and she is incredibly proud of that achievement.

She loves watching YouTube videos, singing along to her favorite music, and spending time with her friends. Her future goals include living independently and working in a school setting where she can make a difference in the lives of students.
